SPIRIT AWARD
RECOGNIZING THOSE WHO INSPIRE AND SUPPORT WOMEN IN COMEDY
In keeping with the tradition of supporting funny women, in 2018 Ladies of Laughter established the first-ever Spirit Award by asking contestants to cite a woman who inspired them to get into comedy. The woman who received the "Most Inspired" votes was Carol Burnett.

SPIRIT AWARD FOR A WOMAN WHO HAS SUPPORTED OTHERS IN THE FIELD
It's important to recognize, support and encourage those that do the same for other women in comedy. Two women tied for the first-ever Ladies of Laughter "Support Spirit" Award. Jane Condon and Kelly MacFarland were cited by contestants as two women who helped them with their joke writing, recommended them to club owners, bookers and agents and gave them career advice. Congratulations to both Jane and Kelly.
